Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of sowing suspicion in India’s test system following the suspected leak of NEET-UG papers in numerous locations. They questioned if he would apologize following the Supreme Court’s verdict in the case.

On Tuesday, the court denied demands to cancel the exam and retake it, citing a lack of evidence of a “systemic breach” that jeopardized the exam’s integrity. The court found that the breach occurred in only a few places.

Following the ruling, BJP leader and former government minister Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed the opposition, notably Gandhi. Prasad stated that, while Gandhi used language like “fraud” to criticize the entire examination, the court underlined that there was no systemic breach of the exam’s integrity.

He said, “Will Rahul Gandhi apologise…,” saying that paper leaks were routine throughout Congress-led regimes.

He further accused Gandhi of undermining India’s worldwide credibility with his critical remarks regarding the test system. Prasad went on to say that Gandhi’s statements were insulting to Parliament and his position as the Lok Sabha’s Opposition Leader.
