Artistique Gallery is showcasing a solo exhibition of the Gurgaon and London-based artist Ratna Vira. On view from October 29 through November 12, 2023, in the Oberoi Hotel Gurgaon’s Art Gallery, Biograph(s) by Ratna Vira features a suite of 25 works on canvas.
The Sphere, The Circle and The Ring – representing The Womb & The World are powerful leitmotifs in Ratna Vira’s current body of work –“Biograph(s)”. Each work offers a glimpse of her inner journey and the artist’s objective depiction of it. She is at once the chronicled and the chronicler. Childhood to adulthood, with its attendant anxieties, joys, loss and triumphs, comes full circle in a suite of canvases, inviting the viewer to witness this passage, and perhaps see fragments of their own journey, evoking memory and resonance.
Ratna Vira is an accomplished artist, who has been working on this collection for over two years. She is a published author of three bestselling books. Ratna is an alumna of the London School of Economics and has a management degree. After spending many years in the corporate world, Ratna turned her focus to art and writing.
