Billionaire Mukesh Ambani displayed deep emotions during the farewell ceremony (vidaai) of his daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant.

A video captured the poignant moment as newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant walked slowly, accompanied by Mukesh Ambani standing beside them. Radhika, visibly moved, exchanged greetings with another person who handed her a silver lamp. Social media users praised the Reliance Industries chairman for openly expressing his emotions.

“I admire Mukesh Ambani for this very reason. He shows his emotions and treats his daughters-in-law with immense love and respect,” commented one Instagram user.

“Mukesh Ambani can feel her pain,” remarked another user named Pallavi.

Both Mukesh and Nita Ambani share a close bond with their daughters-in-law, Shloka Mehta (married to Akash Ambani) and Radhika Merchant. Nita Ambani herself had an emotional moment recently during the sangeet celebrations, inviting cricketers Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya on stage to felicitate Team India for their T20 World Cup victory.

During the traditional vidaai ceremony, the bride bids farewell to her family as she joins her husband’s family.

Last week, at the graha shanti pooja hosted by Shaila and Viren Merchant, Radhika’s father had an emotional moment as he embraced her.

Radhika Merchant looked stunning on her wedding day in a magnificent lehenga designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, in collaboration with artist Jayasri Burman.

The Ambani family continues to host star-studded receptions over the weekend and into Monday. Global celebrities, business magnates, cricketers, film stars, and politicians attended the wedding at the Ambani-owned Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s BKC, followed by a ‘Shubh Ashirwad’ blessing ceremony for friends and family members the next day.
