Sherghati Election Result: With the results now declared, Uday Kumar Singh of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has secured a decisive victory in Sherghati, earning 77,270 votes with a strong margin of 13,524 votes. Sherghati, a subdivision town in Gaya district, quietly carries layers of Bihar’s ancient history. Archaeological remains scattered across the region reflect its historic significance. The town also holds a rare place in scientific history—on August 25, 1865, a meteorite from Mars famously fell here, later named the Shergotty meteorite.

The verdict adds a fresh chapter to Sherghati’s evolving political landscape, highlighting how shifting voter sentiment continues to shape the constituency’s narrative.
