Sasaram Election Result 2025 Live Updates: With the results now declared, Snehlata of RLM has secured a decisive victory in Sasaram, winning 1,05,006 votes and leading by an impressive margin of 25,443 votes.
The Sasaram constituency, which falls under Rohtas, went to the polls during Phase 2 of the Bihar Assembly Elections and the result declared on the 14th of November.
One of the 243 constituencies of Bihar legislative assembly, Sasaram is expected to see as an RJD versus BJP contest with the JD(U) giving the seat a miss.
It is a district headquarters of Rohtas district in Bihar and its high literacy rate of 80.26 percent notwithstanding, the politics of Sasaram remains mired in caste alignments rather than ideology.

In 2010, BJP's Jawahar Prasad Kushwaha won the seat extending the party's influence in a constituency traditionally known for caste based loyalties with total electors 2,75,379.
The 2015 elections winner is Ashok Kumar of the RJD defeated his BJP rival with 82,766 votes, securing 47.6% of the total vote share and a winning margin of 11.3%.
In 2020, Rajesh Kumar Gupta of RJD retained the seat with 83,303 votes winning by a margin of 26,423 votes with 46.5% of the total share, further strengthening the foothold of RJD.
Previous elections have seen voter turnout consistently around the 60–65% mark, reflecting relatively stable participation despite rural challenges. The Sasaram Assembly constituency recorded a total voter turnout of 68.76%, with 74.03% female voters and 64.1% male voters casting their votes in Phase 2.
Rajesh Kumar Gupta (RJD) won by 26,423 votes, defeating JD(U)’s Ashok Kumar decisively. The increase of over 3.5 percentage points reflects stronger voter engagement this time, particularly among women voters turnout climbed from 69.4% in 2020 to 74.03% in 2025.
