Saharsa Election 2025: The Saharsa Assembly constituency, number 75, is an unreserved (General) seat and the administrative headquarters segment located in the Saharsa district of Bihar. It is one of the six assembly segments that come under the broader Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency. Historically a Congress stronghold, the seat has seen a definitive shift in its political allegiance and is now considered a key bastion for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has won four of the last six assembly elections. The current Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) is from the BJP, securing his second straight term.

The polling in the Saharsa Assembly constituency is generally expected to take place in the later phases of the Assembly Elections in Bihar. Based on the 2020 schedule, the voting is anticipated to be around November 7, 2025. Saharsa Election Result 2020

In the 2020 election, the seat was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Alok Ranjan Jha. He secured 1,03,538 votes with a vote share of 45.59 %. Jha defeated the runner-up, Lovely Anand of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), by 19,679 votes. The total turnout in this contest was 61.2%.
