Janata Dal (United) leader Santosh Kumar Nirala was the winner in the 2010 Bihar Assembly elections. He served as the MLA for the Rajpur constituency from 2010 to 2015. He also held the position as Minister of SC & ST Welfare Department, Bihar from 2014 to 2017.
