Nokha Bihar Election Result 2020?

Nokha became an Assembly constituency in 1951 and has voted in 17 elections since. Congress won six times, the BJP four times, the Janata Party thrice, and the Janata Dal and RJD twice each. The RJD’s rise began after it unseated the BJP in 2015, which had won four consecutive terms. In 2020, the RJD’s alliance with the ultra-Left CPI(ML)(L) consolidated anti-NDA votes, resulting in decisive victories. The CPI(ML)(L) further demonstrated its hold by securing a significant lead in Nokha during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

In the 2020 Assembly elections, Nokha had 290,458 registered voters (only 13.19 per cent urban), which rose marginally to 299,197 in 2024. A staggering 48.74 per cent of voters abstained in 2020, posing a critical challenge for the NDA: to reclaim Nokha from the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, it must mobilise this disengaged electorate.
