Kurtha, one of the five development blocks in Bihar’s Arwal district, lies in the Magadh region, positioned 23 km east of Arwal and 25 km from Jehanabad. Nearby towns include Makhdumpur, Jehanabad, Masaurhi, and Rafiganj. Located along the banks of the Sone River—a major tributary of the Ganga—the region is marked by fertile alluvial plains that nurture key crops such as rice, wheat, and pulses.

The verdict adds a new chapter to Kurtha’s political journey, reflecting how shifting voter choices continue to shape the constituency’s broader narrative.
