Kurhani Election Result: The Kurhani Assembly constituency (AC-93) is a highly dynamic General seat located in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. It is noted for extremely close electoral contests, recently undergoing a high-stakes by-election. The constituency falls under the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha constituency. The current representative is the incumbent MLA Kedar Prasad Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured the seat in the 2022 by-election. Historically, the constituency is a fierce battleground primarily contested by the BJP and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The official result for the Kurhani assembly election was announced following the counting on November 14, 2025. Polling was held on November 6th as part of the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.
Kedar PD Gupta of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Kurhani assembly elections with 1,07,811 votes. He defeated the runner-up Sunil Kumar Suman (Rashtriya Janata Dal) by 9,718 votes.
The current Sitting MLA for the Kurhani constituency is Kedar Prasad Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been the representative for the constituency since winning the by-election in December 2022.

Manoj Kumar Singh of the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) won the Kurhani seat in the 2010 Bihar assembly elections. He secured the victory with approximately 55,000 votes (45.8%). The runner-up in the elections was Baswan Prasad Bhagat of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), who secured approximately 45,000 votes (37.5%). Singh won by a margin of approximately 10,000 votes.
In the 2015 elections, Kedar Prasad Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured the seat. He won with approximately 65,000 votes (41.0%). The runner-up was Manoj Kumar Singh of the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), who secured approximately 63,000 votes (39.8%). Gupta won by a substantial margin of approximately 2,000 votes.
Winner Anil Kumar Sahani, representing RJD, won the Kurhani MLA seat in the 2020 elections against the BJP’s Kedar Prasad Gupta. Sahani won with approximately 78,000 votes. His rival, Kedar Prasad Gupta, secured around 71,000 votes. (Note: Kedar Prasad Gupta later won the 2022 by-election for this seat.)
