Kalyanpur Bihar Election Result 2020

In the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election for the Kalyanpur constituency, Manoj Kumar Yadav from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won the seat by securing 72,819 votes, which was 45.35% of the total votes polled. He narrowly defeated Sachindra Prasad Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who received 71,626 votes with a 44.61% vote share, marking a +7.67% increase from the previous election. Mohammad Badiuzzaman of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) got 6,367 votes (3.97%), showing a +2.65% rise. Other candidates included Mala Thakur from the Janta Dal Rashtravadi with 2,006 votes (1.25%), Independent candidate Rituraj Pandey with 1,797 votes (1.12%), and Independent candidate Rajesh Kumar Singh who received 1,623 votes (1.01%).
