Imamganj, a block in Bihar’s Gaya district under the Magadh division, is situated near the border of Jharkhand’s Palamu district, approximately 65 km west of Gaya. The region lies in the hilly and forested fringe of the Chota Nagpur Plateau, giving it a rugged terrain. The seasonal rivers Morhar and Sorhar, tributaries of the Sone River, flow along its edges. Nearby towns include Sherghati, Aurangabad, Chatra, and Rafiganj. The area derives its name from Raja Imam Bux Khan of Sherghati.
Imamganj has its election day on Tuesday, 11 November 2025.
