Darbhanga Rural Election Result: The Darbhanga Rural Assembly constituency (AC-82) is a crucial General seat located in the Darbhanga district of Bihar. It is characterised by competitive electoral battles and falls within the Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency. The current representative is the incumbent MLA Lalit Kumar Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Yadav secured his victory in the 2020 assembly elections, continuing the RJD’s significant hold on this seat. Historically, the constituency has been a stronghold for the RJD, often battling the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Lalit Kumar Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won the Darbhanga Rural seat in the 2010 Bihar assembly elections. He secured the victory with approximately 29,776 votes (29.3%). The runner-up in the elections was Ashraf Hussain of the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), who secured approximately 26,100 votes (25.6%). Yadav won by a margin of approximately 3,676 votes.

Darbhanga Rural Election Result 2015 Winner

In the 2015 elections, Lalit Kumar Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured the seat for a second consecutive term. He won with approximately 70,557 votes (51.4%). The runner-up was Naushad Ahmad of the HAMS, who secured approximately 36,066 votes (26.3%). Yadav won by a substantial margin of 34,491 votes.

Winner Lalit Kumar Yadav, representing RJD, won the Darbhanga Rural MLA seat in the 2020 elections against the JD(U)’s Faraz Fatmi. He won with approximately 64,929 votes. His rival, Faraz Fatmi, secured 62,788 votes.
