Chainpur Election Result 2025: With the results now declared, Mohd. Zama Khan of JDU has secured a decisive victory in Chainpur, winning 70,587 votes and leading by an impressive margin of 8,328 votes. 

Chainpur falls under Constituency No. 206 of Kaimur district in Bihar with 21% are Scheduled Castes, 9.38% Scheduled Tribes and 9.7% Muslims and the result declared on the 14th of November. 

Renowned for the shifting of loyalty and close contests, Chainpur had Mohd. Zama Khan of BSP winning the 2020 elections. Now that the 2025 elections are over, the result will be a key indicator of the prevailing political temper in the region.

In the 2010 election, Brij Kishor Bind of BJP defeated BSP’s Dr. Ajay Alok by 13,580 votes and won the Chainpur seat, starting the trend for Bind’s continued electoral fortunes in the region.

Chainpur Bihar Election Result 2015 Winner

The 2015 Assembly election was one of the closest in Chainpur’s history. Brij Kishor Bind (BJP) narrowly retained his seat by a margin of 671 votes, defeating Mohammad Zama Khan (BSP).

Chainpur Bihar Election Result 2020 Winner

The tables had turned in 2020 when Mohd. Zama Khan of BSP beat Brij Kishor Bind of BJP by a massive margin of 24,294 votes. Khan got 95,245 votes, while Bind got 70,951. The contest was part of a major political shift in Chainpur for which Khan was later inducted into JD(U) and made a minister.

Chainpur Assembly Constituency (No. 206) comprises part of the Sasaram Lok Sabha seat in Kaimur district and consists of Chainpur, Chand, Adhaura and Bhagwanpur blocks. Physiographically, the district comprises part-plains and part-hilly regions and forms a part of the Kaimur Plateau, traversed by the rivers Durgawati and Karmanasha.
