Biharsharif Assembly Election 2025: Key candidates, voting date, population, voter details, and political overview of Nalanda’s crucial constituency.
As Bihar gears up for the 2025 Assembly elections, Biharsharif — the political and administrative heart of Nalanda district — has once again emerged as a focal point in the state’s political discourse. Known for its deep historical roots, cultural heritage, and politically aware electorate, Biharsharif has often mirrored the larger shifts in Bihar’s political landscape.
Traditionally a stronghold of ideological politics and home to several influential leaders, Biharsharif has evolved into a keenly contested constituency where the RJD, JD(U), BJP, CPI(ML)(L), and INC now battle for influence.
As the election season intensifies, Biharsharif stands at a defining juncture — torn between legacy politics and the promise of change. The outcome here is expected to not only shape Nalanda’s political narrative but also serve as a telling indicator of Bihar’s electoral direction in 2025.

In the 2020 election, BJP's Dr Sunil Kumar emerged victorious with 81,888 votes, achieving a lead of 15,102 votes and capturing 44.55% of the total vote share.
