The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the second phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will take place on November 11. This phase will cover a wide range of constituencies in northern and eastern Bihar, marking a crucial step in the state’s high-stakes political contest.

The polling will be held in 122 assembly constituencies, spread across both urban and rural areas. It will follow the first phase of voting, held on November 6.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025 Phase 2: Crucial Phase for All Major Political Alliances

The second phase is seen as a decisive stage that could shape the election’s overall outcome. It includes several politically important districts such as West Champaran, Madhubani, Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Aurangabad.

Bihar’s political landscape is witnessing a multi-cornered contest among the ruling NDA, the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, and Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party. Each alliance is expected to test its grassroots support and organizational strength in this phase.

Experts believe that regions like Kishanganj and Araria, with significant minority populations, will play a key role in deciding the vote share and electoral balance.

This phase is also expected to highlight local issues, such as unemployment, migration, and flood management — major concerns that continue to dominate public discourse in Bihar.
