Barari Election Result 2025: With the results now declared, Bijay Singh of the JDU has secured a decisive victory in Barari, winning 1,07,842 votes and leading by an impressive margin of 10,984 votes.
Barari falls under Constituency No. 66 of in Katihar district of Bihar and the result declared on the 14th of November. Renowned for the shifting of loyalty and close contests, Barari had Bijay Singh of the JD(U) winning the 2020 elections. Now that the 2025 elections are over, the result will be a key indicator of the prevailing political temper in the region.

In the 2015 elections, it was again the turn of the RJD to wrest the seat. Neeraj Kumar defeated Bibhash Chandra Choudhary (BJP) by 14,336 votes securing 71,175 votes in all. The result was a part of the statewide winning spree of the RJD led Grand Alliance that year.
In the 2020 polls, Bijay Singh (JD-U) turned the tide to defeat Neeraj Kumar of the RJD by 10,438 votes. Singh secured 81,752 votes to seal JD(U)’s consolidation in this key Katihar seat.
The voter turnout in Barari in 2020 stood at 67.23%, compared to Bihar's overall turnout of 58.7%. The seat has traditionally seen high participation with women voters steadily increasing with each recent election.
