Barari Election Result 2025: With the results now declared, Bijay Singh of the JDU has secured a decisive victory in Barari, winning 1,07,842 votes and leading by an impressive margin of 10,984 votes. 

Barari falls under Constituency No. 66 of in Katihar district of Bihar and the result declared on the 14th of November. Renowned for the shifting of loyalty and close contests, Barari had Bijay Singh of the JD(U) winning the 2020 elections. Now that the 2025 elections are over, the result will be a key indicator of the prevailing political temper in the region.

The fertile plains of the Kosi River and the agrarian economy and a strong migrant population, combined with erratic voting patterns in the past, make this one of the most politically interesting seats in the state. The assembly segment includes three blocks: Barari, Sameli and Kursela it forms part of the Katihar Lok Sabha constituency.

In the 2020 polls, Bijay Singh (JD-U) turned the tide to defeat Neeraj Kumar of the RJD by 10,438 votes. Singh secured 81,752 votes to seal JD(U)’s consolidation in this key Katihar seat.
