Jayesh Mangalam Singh of the Indian National Congress (INC) came second with 59,993 votes (33%). Independent candidate Raghaw Sharan Pandey finished third with 6,429 votes (3.54%), followed by Purnmasi Ram of the Jan Sangharsh Dal who received 3,649 votes (2.01%). Other contenders included Kamran Aziz (Independent) with 3,077 votes (1.69%), Suresh Mukhiya of JP(S) with 2,600 votes (1.43%), and Atul Kumar Shukla of the Lok Shakti Party (Loktantrik) with 2,364 votes (1.3%).
