Alinagar Election Result: The Alinagar Assembly constituency (AC-81) is a key General seat located in the Darbhanga district of Bihar. It is characterised by diverse demographics and competitive electoral battles and falls within the Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency. The current representative is the incumbent MLA Ram Lakhan Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Yadav secured his victory in the closely contested 2020 assembly elections. Historically, the constituency has been a strong area for the RJD, often battling the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and other regional forces.

The official result for the Alinagar assembly election was announced following the counting on November 14, 2025. Polling was held on November 6th as part of the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.

Maithili Thakur of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Alinagar Assembly Elections by receiving around 84,268 votes (approx). She defeated her rival Binod Mishra of Rashtriya Janata Dal by an 11,730 vote margin (approx).

Alinagar Election Result 2010 Winner

Abdul Bari Siddiqui of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won the Alinagar seat in the 2010 Bihar assembly elections. He secured the victory with approximately 37,923 votes. The runner-up in the elections was Prabhakar Choudhary of the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), who secured approximately 32,934 votes. Siddiqui won by a margin of approximately 4,989 votes.

In the 2015 elections, Abdul Bari Siddiqui of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured the seat for a second consecutive term. He won with 67,461 votes. The runner-up was Mishri Lal Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured approximately 54,001 votes. Ahmad won by a substantial margin of approximately 13,460 votes.

Winner Mishri Lal Yadav, representing VSIP, won the Alinagar MLA seat in the 2020 elections against the RJD’s Binod Mishra. He won with approximately 61,082 votes. His rival, Binod Mishra, secured around 57,981 votes.

The voter turnout percentage in Alinagar for the 2020 and 2015 elections goes as follows:

  • 2015 Election: 55.54%
  • 2020 Election: 57.4%
