Alamnagar Election 2025: Alamnagar is the 70th constituency in Bihar. It is a general seat and falls under the Madhepura district of Bihar under the Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency. It was established in 1951 and has become a stronghold of major leaders over time. 

Alamnagar Election 2025 Date

Alamnagar will observe polling day on November 6, 2025, in the first phase of elections in Bihar in the Assembly Election 2025. Counting of votes will take place on November 14, 202,5, followed by the declaration of results on the same day. 

Alamnagar Bihar Election Result 2020

In the 2020 election, the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), Narendra Narayan Yadav, won the seat. He obtained 102,517 votes and accounted for 48.17% of the total vote share. Yadav defeated the runner-up, Nabin Kumar of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), by a margin of 28,680 votes.

The Alamanagr constituency consists of the Alamnagar, Puraini, and Chausa community development blocks. It also includes nine Gram Panchayats from the Udakishunganj CD Block. The total population of the constituency in 2024 was projected to be around 6,03,944 by the Election Commission of India.

How many Alamnagar registered Voters? 

The Yadav community is often reported to be the majority cast occupying the area, making up a considerable number of the voter base. According to reports, Alamnagar had 344,616 registered voters in 2020 with an estimated Scheduled cast population of 60,214 voters, making 17.47% of the voters. The Muslim voters in Alamnagar totalled to about 43,421 (12.60%).

The numbers of registered voters in the constituency were reported to be 3,72,591 during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Alamnagar Assembly constituency has been part of Bihar’s electoral map since its establishment in 1951. It first went to the polls in 1952.
