A bridge built across the Burhi Gandak River in Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai in Bihar collapsed on Sunday. So, far no casualty has been reported. The bridge was built at a cost of Rs 13 crore. Earlier the 206-meter-long bridge had developed cracks and on Sunday bridge between pillars, number 2 and 3 collapsed. According to the administration at the time of the incident, nobody was on the bridge. The bridge was yet to be inaugurated and due to the lack of an access road, it was never inaugurated. Under the Chief Minister National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) scheme the bridge was constructed. However, in October 134 persons lost their lives after a bridge collapsed into the Machchhu River of Morbi, Gujarat.
