Biden Praises Kamala Harris’s Leadership and Historic Campaign
President Biden also called Vice President Kamala Harris to congratulate her on leading a “historic campaign.” In a statement following Harris’s concession speech, Biden praised her integrity, courage, and leadership. Vice President Harris and President-elect Trump also held a phone conversation on Wednesday. Harris congratulated Trump on his win and assured him that she and Biden would work together for a peaceful transfer of power. This conversation comes in contrast to Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 presidential election after losing to President Biden.
