Bhavay Bishnoi, who succeeded in winning Adampur bypolls battle with a sizable margin, has become the youngest-ever MLA in the history of Haryana after he was administered oath in presence of Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and the Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa here on November 16, 2022. Gian Chand Gupta had administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected Adampur MLA, Bhavya Bishnoi in the Vidhan Sabha. The political experts are eyeing on whether he would be given a berth in the state Cabinet. Although, the state Cabinet has no vacancy at present.
What is of utmost importance here is that in State Assembly, 45 members have been elected for the first time after Bhavay has been inducted in the Assembly. After him, the number of BJP MLAs has increased to 41.
Similarly, with 30 members of Congress, 10 of Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), 1 of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), 1 of Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) and 7 independent MLAs, the total number has also gone up to 90. It is worth mentioning that the JJP is in alliance with BJP. Besides, out of 7, 6 MLAs have extended their support to the ruling BJP party. The HLP MLA is also firmly in support with BJP. Thus, BJP now has the strength of a total of 59 legislators. Ater Bhavay won the Adampur bypolls, the BJP succeeded in strengthening its position in the state.
While interacting with the media persons, Gian Chand Gupta congratulated Bhavya Bishnoi and hoped that Adampur MLA will live upto the expectation of the people of his constituency. “I hope that he will work in the public interest and for the development of his constituency,” added Gian Chand Gupta.
