Announcing the face of the congress candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, Himachal Pradesh PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh will now fight the Lok Sabha election against the actor-turned BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut.
As confirmed by the state chief of the Congress Pratibha Singh who is also her son, she said “ A consensus has been reached on name of Vikramaditya (Singh) for the mandi constituency. The names will be finalised soon.”
She further said that “Discussions were held on the 2-3 names that we shortlisted… It depends on the high command, on Mallikarjun Kharge, and on what names they approve. All our senior leaders believe that this time a young leader should be fielded.”

Talking about his candidature, she also said that the “people of Mandi have “always been with us.”
Meanwhile Kangana Ranaut on Thursday criticised Vikramaditya Singh and said he cannot threaten her and send her away as the state is not his ancestor’s property in response to comments about her consumption of beef in the past.
While the Himachal minister on the other hand took a jibe at kangana and said “ I pray to Lord Ram to give her wisdom and hope she goes back pure from ‘Dev Bhoomi’ Himachal to Bollywood because she will not win the elections as she knows nothing about people of Himachal.”
He further said that she should talk about the issues possessed by the state and in relation to the Mandi. He also said has she ever visited Manali for one day during worst monsoon crisis plaguing the place. And also said he was there on ground zero during the time of the disaster.
Slamming Kangana he also said “The people of Himachal have nothing to do with what you eat and what you drink in Mumbai. Please talk on issues, your vision, what you did during the disaster and what your role will be in the future.”
