Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) recently announced that from March 22, Bangladesh would play two ICC World Test Championship (WTC) matches against Sri Lanka in Sylhet and Chattogram.
Three T20Is and three ODIs will also be part of the series. The first Twenty20 International at Sylhet on March 4 will initiate the white-ball phase of the series. The inaugural ODI is scheduled for March 13 at Chattogram. The T20Is will be held at Sylhet, and the ODIs will be hosted in Chattogram.
“The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the itinerary for Sri Lanka’s 2024 tour which includes three T20 internationals, three ODIs and two Tests,” said a statement from BCB.
On March 1, Sri Lanka will arrive in Dhaka.
From January 6–18, Sri Lanka played a three-match ODI and Twenty20I series against Zimbabwe at home. While they won the T20I series 2-1, Sri Lanka won the ODI series 2-0, with one match ending in a draw.
Bangladesh also traveled to New Zealand for a three-match ODI and T20I series. The T20I series concluded in a 1-1 draw when the second T20I failed to yield a result, however New Zealand emerged victorious in the ODI series 2-1.
