India Yamaha Motor has updated its scooter and motorcycle line-up for 2023. This includes the brands’ 125 cc scooter range that includes the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid. Apart from these, popular 150 cc motorcycles like FZS-Fi V4 deluxe, FZ-X, MT-15 V2 deluxe and R15M have also been updated. The vehicles are also E20 fuel-compliant which according to the brand will ensure lower emissions.

Scooters
The entire 125 cc Hybrid scooter range of the company is now powered by the bluetooth enabled Y-Connect App which provides features like fuel consumption tracker, maintenance recommendations, last parking location, malfunction notification, revs dashboard and rider ranking. In addition to this, the 2023 range of these scooters are now available in fresh colour options. The disc variants of Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid are now available in the new Dark Matt Blue colour while the Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid has come in two new colours – Matte Black & Grey Vermillion. The disc & drum variant of Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid gets new graphics in its existing colours – Matt Red, Metallic Black and Cyan Blue.
The 125 cc Hybrid scooter range is powered by a BS-VI and E-20 fuel compliant, air-cooled, fuel injected (FI), 125 cc blue core engine that produces 8.2 PS @ 6,500 RPM and 10.3 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. This Hybrid engine includes a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System that doubles up as an electric motor. This gives additional linear power when the rider accelerates from a stop, reducing the wobble during start-outs in tandem riding or uphill climbs.
The 125 Fi Hybrid engine continues to have many features as standard, including the “Automatic Stop & Start system” that prevents engine idling and starts with a single throttle twist and the In-built side stand engine cut-off switch for added safety. Talking about the prices, the Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid (disc) Dark Matt Blue is priced at Rs. 91,030 while the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid (Disc) Dark Matt Blue will cost you Rs. 89,530. The Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid (Disc) Light Grey Vermillion & Matte Black has been priced at Rs. 93,530; all prices, ex-showroom.

Motorcycles
The Yamaha FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe, FZ-X and MT-15 V2 deluxe models now get Traction Control System (TCS) as a standard feature, in addition to the Yamaha R15M and R15V4. The System controls the ignition timing and fuel injection volume to instantly adjust engine power output to avoid excessive slippage. This ensures efficient delivery of power to the wheel and minimizing wheelspin, according to Yamaha.
Apart from this, the 2023 version of FZS-Fi V4 deluxe will feature a new headlight design with the addition of LED flashers . This bike also is now also powered by Bluetooth enabled Y-Connect Application. The FZ-X too now comes with TCS as standard with the addition of LED flashers and a brand-new colour scheme – Dark Matt Blue with golden colour rim. Both the FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and the FZ-X models get single-channel ABS in the front with a rear disc brake, a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight, a tire-hugging rear mudguard and a lower engine guard. They are powered by the familiar 149 cc engine that produces 12.4 PS @ 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm @ 5,500 rpm.
The 2023 R15M now features the YZF-R1 inspired coloured TFT Meter with gear shift indicator, Track & Street Mode selector and LED flashers.
