It is seen on various cars from the brand like the Altroz, Nexon, as well as the Harrier. The latest from the brand to get this special treatment is the Nexon EV Max, the long-range version of this electric car. But it’s not just about the colour; this special edition also gets some exclusive features otherwise not seen on other versions of India’s largest-selling electric car.

Exterior
The signature midnight black colour of the body is accentuated by the charcoal grey alloy wheels on this new car. You also get the now-famous humanity line from the brand, but that also comes in satin black. Projector headlamps come with tri-arrow DRLs, while the signature LED tail lamps also get a tri-arrow pattern. The #DARK mascot can be seen on the fender, while the SUV also gets a shark fin antenna and roof rails.

Interior
The interior pack is also darkly themed, which adds to the sporty appeal. You also get a jewelled control knob, a glossy piano black dashboard with the signature tri-arrow pattern, dark-themed leatherette door trims with tri-arrow perforations, and dark-themed leatherette seat upholstery with tri-arrow perforations and EV blue highlight stitches. The leatherette-wrapped steering wheel also comes with EV blue stitches.

The Nexon EV-MAX #DARK is also the first in the Nexon line-up to get the bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman. It gets a high-resolution HD display with quick response and is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay over Wi-Fi. It also gets a high-definition rear view camera and enhanced audio performance with sharp notes and extended bass. The system also comes with a voice assistant in six regional languages and more than 180 voice commands in six languages (English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi), along with a new user interface.

The Nexon EV-MAX #DARK comes with a long list of features. It gets additions like an electronic parking brake with auto hold, front leatherette ventilated seats, an air purifier with an AQI display, a wireless smartphone charger, and cruise control. Some other notable features in the cabin include an auto-dimming IRVM, an electric sunroof, automatic headlamps, a rain-sensing wiper, fully automatic temperature control, a cooled glovebox, and rear AC vents. You also get a rear wiper and defogger and a 7-inch full-digital instrument cluster. The car also flaunts all the safety and connected features along with the specifications of the top-end model.

The new Nexon EV Max #DARK is available in the XZ+ LUX variant of the car, which is priced at Rs. 19.04 lakhs, ex-showroom. You also have the option of buying a 7.2 kW AC fast charger for an additional Rs. 50,000. This makes it the most expensive version of the SUV. It comes with a driving range of 453 km on a single charge, and using a 50 kW DC fast charger, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 56 minutes. The battery and motor both come with a warranty of 8 years and 1, 60,000 kilometres. The Nexon EV range starts at Rs. 14.49 lakh, while the Dark range begins at Rs. 16.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
