Ola Electric has made a significant leap into the electric motorcycle market with the launch of its Roadster series, unveiling three new models: the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro. Announced on August 15, 2024, by founder Bhavish Aggarwal, this marks Ola Electric’s first foray into electric motorcycles, building on the success of its electric scooters.

The entry-level Roadster X is priced at ₹74,999, offering a 2.5 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 200 km on a single charge. It boasts a top speed of 124 km/h and accelerates from 0-40 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The motorcycle is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and a 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

For those looking for more power, the Roadster starts at ₹1,04,999 for the 2.5 kWh variant, with additional 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh versions available. The Roadster can reach a top speed of 126 km/h, accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 2.2 seconds, and offers an impressive range of 579 km per charge. This model also features a larger 7-inch touchscreen and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The premium Roadster Pro, priced at ₹1,99,999 for the 8 kWh version and ₹2,49,999 for the 16 kWh variant, offers top-tier performance. With a top speed of 194 km/h and an acceleration time of 1.2 seconds from 0-40 km/h, it’s the fastest of the three. The Roadster Pro includes advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and a 10-inch touchscreen.

Deliveries for the Roadster X and Roadster will begin in January 2025, while the Roadster Pro will be available from Diwali 2025. However, bookings for all models are open now.

In addition to the motorcycles, Ola Electric introduced MoveOS 5, a software update that brings group navigation to Ola Maps, an AI-based tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and the Krutrim AI Assistant, further enhancing the user experience across its electric vehicles.
