Google Launches New Feature To Improve ‘English Speaking Skills’

The Google search has recently launched a new feature that’ll help users improve their English speaking skills. Known as ‘Speaking Practice.’

For those unfamiliar, this new speaking practice functionality is built on Google’s new Duolingo-like English tutoring feature. Which was launched last year by the tech company, to help people practice and work on their English speaking skills. Thus, this new feature sort of adds a new dimension.

Talking about this new feature, the tech giant has said that this new feature will allow users to engage in interactive language learning exercises powered by AI. Also added that this new feature will help in the learning of new that can be used in our everyday lives.

As per TechCrunch, in this new feature, the user asks a question. After this, the user is prompted to answer them with the help of a predefined set of words.

According to a screenshot from one user, it also indicates that this new feature may include an AI chatbot. The chatbot prompts the user about their desire to get into shape, followed by a question asking what they should do. Then, the user is asked to respond with one-word answers such as ‘tired,’ ‘heart,’ and ‘exercise.’

To make use of this new feature, First, Open the Google App on your device. Second, tap on the Lab Icon in the top left corner, and in the Last Step, this new feature is now available on your account.

This feature is currently available in countries like Argentina, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Venezuela. Through the Google Search Labs.
