Create Custom Stickers On WhatsApp With Meta AI: Here’s How It Works

WhatsApp users have a strong affinity for stickers, often sharing them with friends for added fun in conversations. To enhance this experience, the messaging platform is introducing new tools that make stickers more interactive and creative.

Among the exciting updates, Meta has confirmed the integration of a custom sticker creation feature using the Meta AI chatbot directly within the app. In addition, WhatsApp is collaborating with GIPHY to expand its sticker offerings. Now, users can search for GIPHY stickers within WhatsApp by simply tapping the sticker icon and searching with text or emoji. This feature is conveniently located in the tray next to the emoji, GIF, and GIPHY stickers.

After a long wait, WhatsApp is finally rolling out the custom sticker maker for Android users. This feature, which has been available to iPhone users for some time, allows you to create, edit, and share stickers using personal photos or other images.

A significant addition is the “Meta AI stickers,” which enable users to create stickers through text prompts using the AI chatbot in WhatsApp. Initially available in the US for both iPhone and Android users, this feature is currently being tested in more countries. Given that WhatsApp is known for its reliable encryption, it is expected that the new sticker features, including AI-generated stickers, will be protected by the same high standards.

This update is part of a broader trend of Meta integrating AI into WhatsApp. The messaging app is also experimenting with new applications for the AI chatbot powered by the Llama 3 AI model. In the near future, we might see Meta AI being used via voice, potentially positioning it as a strong competitor to ChatGPT’s voice mode, but available to millions as a free feature.
