Police have apprehended an autorickshaw driver in Thane, Maharashtra, for the brutal murder of a 62-year-old doctor, Siraj Ahmed Manjur Khan, from Mumbra. The heinous crime occurred during the night between Monday and Tuesday, with the victim’s body discovered in Phadkepada on Tuesday morning, bearing signs of a severe head injury. The investigation uncovered a financial dispute between the deceased and the rickshaw driver, identified as Wasim Sattar Memon (44).
Surveillance footage revealed that Memon had abducted the doctor around 1 am on Tuesday and later killed him by striking his head with a stone at an isolated location. Further inquiries are ongoing.
