Bella Bradford, a 24-year-old TikTok influencer from Australia, passed away on October 15 following a long battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of jaw cancer. In a posthumous video shared on her TikTok account on October 31, Bella, whose full name was Isabella Bradford, announced her own passing. She had first revealed her diagnosis to her followers in mid-2021.

According to the New York Post, Bella initially sought medical help for what she thought were issues with her wisdom teeth. Her journey involved multiple treatments, including surgeries to remove the tumor and reconstruct her jaw. Although she went into remission, the cancer returned a few months before she was set to take a trip to Europe with her friends. In her final video, Bella thanked her fans for their support during her illness. She stated, “I have terminal cancer and unfortunately my life has come to an end,” and then filmed one last “Get Ready With Me” segment, a type of video that had become a hallmark of her TikTok content. She shared how creating videos had given her “a sense of purpose [sic] in my final few months” and allowed her to connect with “a very kind community of people.”

Bella also urged her followers to “live each day with as much significance as the next” and wished them a “beautiful life.” In her farewell video, she showcased her love for fashion, wearing a khaki halter dress, black ballerina flats, and a white cardigan, paired with chic oval eyeglasses, a pearl teddy bear necklace, and a brown baseball cap.

She concluded with a poignant message: “What a privilege it is to grow old. Thank you for allowing me to be myself on this platform, I really felt excited each day to jump on here and connect over our shared love of life and fashion.” Bella had been informed that she was a “palliative cancer patient” and that her illness had progressed to “incurable” stages.

As stated in her obituary, Bella passed away “peacefully” surrounded by her loved ones. Her family requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to cancer-support organizations such as Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Rare Cancers Australia. Bella’s family highlighted her courage and positive spirit throughout her battle with cancer.
