Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles is set to attend the ICC Cricket World Cup Final between India and Australia in Ahmedabad on November 19, as announced by the Ministry of Defence. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reviewed security, cleanliness, and traffic management arrangements in preparation for the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles are expected to watch the final match at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. Marles, during his visit to India, will co-chair the 2nd India-Australia 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The leaders will also hold a bilateral meeting on defence cooperation on November 20.

The 2+2 discussion, co-chaired by Rajnath Singh and Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar, as well as its Australian counterparts, is part of India and Australia’s Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The visit is expected to strengthen collaboration and bilateral defence cooperation.

In addition to the cricket excitement, the BCCI announced a star-studded lineup of performances before the final. The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran acrobatic team will present an air show, and Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi will perform during the 1st Innings drinks break. The Innings break will feature live performances by music composer Pritam and singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi.

The final promises to be an outstanding event, with cricket, entertainment, and diplomatic encounters taking centre stage.
