According to sources, on Thursday, the Mumbai Police’s Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) questioned Chetan Singh, a policeman with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who was charged with killing four persons, including a 57-year-old assistant sub-inspector (ASI), on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Express train.

According to officials, Chetan, who is presently in the custory of Mumbai Government Railway Police (GRP), was grilled for questioned by the ATS for hours. The accused RPF constable Chetan Singh allegedly shot dead Assistant Sub-Inspector Tikaram Meena and three passengers on the moving Jaipur–Mumbai Superfast Express near Palghar station in Maharashtra on July 31.

A high-level committee of five people has been assembled to look into the occurrence.
More than 20 people have provided statements for the Borivali GRP. “Police are speaking with passengers who were on the train when the incident occurred to further understand the circumstances. According to a top official with GRP, “They have asked people to come forward so that the sequence of events may be understood accurately.
Following the event, Singh was detained and a FIR was filed against him under sections 302, the Arms Act, and the Railway Police Act at the Borivali Government Railway Police (GRP) in Mumbai.
