Delhi Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi Singh inspected the Kanwar Yatra preparations in the National Capital. Following her inspection, she addressed the media, stating, “The preparations are in full swing, and we are ready to welcome the Kanwar.”

During her visit to inspect the Kanwar Yatra camps in Delhi, Atishi Singh mentioned that the largest camps, located at Kashmiri Gate, can accommodate at least 2,000 Kavarias. She also noted that, due to the high possibility of rain, waterproof tents, beds, and tables have been arranged.

“The 185 camps can easily accommodate at least 10,000 people. Given the likelihood of rain during Sawan, we have arranged waterproof tents. We have also made provisions for beds, tables, and food. Additionally, a doctor is stationed here, and the medical team will be available 24/7, working in three shifts to assist with any injuries caused by the rain. An ambulance is stationed outside the Kavad camp, ready to transport anyone with serious health issues to the nearest LNGP hospital,” she added.

Further commenting on the decision to install nameplates, she said that India is a diverse country with people from all religions and castes and accused the BJP government of attempting to create conflicts between these groups. She labelled the BJP as an anti-Dalit party, asserting that the people of the country will never forgive them for this.

“In India, people of every religion and caste have been living in harmony. It does not matter if they speak different languages or belong to different castes or religions. When it comes to devotion or festivals, people of all religions, castes, and languages unite in devotion. The BJP government just wants to create disputes between religions and castes.
