Legislative Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta has taken strict notice of the work stoppage on the service lane adjacent to the Railway Under Bridge (RUB) being constructed at the Kalka-Pinjore railway gate. To assess the progress of this work, he convened a meeting on Tuesday with officials from the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department, Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Department. Chief Minister’s political advisor, Bharat Bhushan Bharti, was also present at the meeting.

Vice President Gyan Chand Gupta inquired about the reasons for blocking the service lane along the RUB. Officials explained that obtaining permission to cut trees from the Chief Conservator of the Forest Department, Ambala, took some time. In response, the Vice President requested a timeline for the related file. Additionally, the Vice President is scheduled to visit Pinjore on Wednesday to inspect the site.

Officials assured that the work will commence as soon as the no-objection certificate is received from the mining department. In light of this, the Vice Chairman instructed the officials of the Mining Department to take necessary action promptly. Present in the meeting were Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of the Forest Department, K.C. Meena, Secretary of Haryana Forest Department, Dr. T.R. Singh, District Forest Officer B.S. Raghav, Range Officer Raja Ram Singh, PWD&BR Chief Engineer Rajeev Yadav, SE Abhishek Jatian, among others.
