The Assam Rifles in Tripura organized an Ex-Servicemen Rally in Agartala, Tripura, showcasing its steadfast commitment to Veer Naris, the widows of bravehearts, and veterans. The rally, which took place on Friday, encompassed all districts of Tripura, attracting 172 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and their families.
The event commenced with opening remarks from the Deputy Inspector General of Assam Rifles, who welcomed all Veer Naris, widows of bravehearts, and ex-servicemen to this significant gathering. In his address, he emphasized Assam Rifles’ solidarity with its fallen heroes and veterans, assuring that the force remains dedicated to their needs and will take every necessary step to support them. He reiterated the organization’s goal of ensuring a dignified life for them and promptly resolving any pension-related and health issues they face.
Several stalls were set up to address the needs of the ex-servicemen, with grievances recorded for immediate resolution. Additional facilities included medical checkups, counseling and basic treatment by an oncologist, job enrollment opportunities with LIC, a dental checkup facility, a CSD extension counter, and a State Bank of India counter. The event concluded with the distribution of gifts to the attendees.
