In a significant gathering of BJP Chief Ministers in New Delhi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma received special recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior party leaders and fellow CMs. The event marked a notable moment for Assam as CM Sarma’s efforts were lauded by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi praised Sarma for his remarkable achievement of providing 1 lakh jobs in Assam, a milestone that stands out in the party’s governance record. Emphasizing the importance of knowledge sharing, the Prime Minister urged CM Sarma and his officials to present the details of their successful programs to CMs and officials from other states. He also directed the Assam government to share comprehensive details of their employment program with other states, potentially paving the way for its broader implementation.

The conclave highlighted a strategic shift in BJP’s approach following the 2024 election setbacks and the perceived shortcomings of the Yogi Model. Amid this introspection, the Assam Model has emerged as a new beacon of success, garnering attention for its potential applicability on a national scale.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s prominence was evident as he was seated in the front row, right beside the central leadership, signifying his growing influence within the party. This marks the first time an Assam CM has taken such a central stage, a proud moment for the state and its governance model.

The recognition of the Assam Model and CM Sarma’s leadership underscores a pivotal moment for Assam, reflecting the state’s rising prominence in the national political landscape.

Earlier, Chief Minister Sarma had highlighted the strides made by his government in job creation, emphasizing the importance of empowering the state’s youth through gainful employment opportunities.
