Nepal’s Buddha Air Flight Engine Catches Fire, Forced to Land

Buddha Air Flight 953 made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport due to a flame-out in the left engine. There were 76 people on board, and no injuries were reported. Passengers will be rebooked on another flight to Bhadrapur.

Nepal’s Buddha Air Flight Engine Catches Fire, Forced to Land

Buddha Air’s flight carrying 76 people, including passengers and crew members, made an emergency landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday as its left engine suffered a flame-out.

Flight Number 953, which had departed from Kathmandu for Bhadrapur, encountered a technical issue in its engine, according to the airline, forcing it to return to Kathmandu. The aircraft was landed safely at 11:15 AM.


Buddha Air has confirmed that its technical team is conducting inspections on the aircraft and making arrangements to fly passengers out on another flight to Bhadrapur.
