One person has died following the violence at the Air Force base in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, on Monday, The Daily Star reported. According to an ISPR notification, a group of miscreants from the nearby Samitipara area attacked the air force base.
The deceased has been identified by family members as 25-year-old Shihab Kabir Nahid from Samitipara. Resident Medical Officer of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, Sabuktagin Mahmud Shohel, stated that a man around 25 years old was “brought dead” to the hospital, as per the Daily Star Bangladesh report.
Shohel further mentioned that the victim had sustained deep injuries on the back of his head. He added that the exact cause of death would be determined following an autopsy, according to The Daily Star.
In a press release, ISPR Assistant Director Ayesha Siddiqua stated that the air force was taking necessary measures regarding the incident.
