Art Magnum unveiled its exhibition, “The Millennials: Art by Generation Next,” marking the commencement of a month-long showcase that will run from September 15th to October 15th, 2023. The inauguration of the art show was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, who officially opened the exhibition during its preview on September 14th.
During the inauguration, Mr. Kartikeya Sharma illuminated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. In recognition of his unwavering support and commitment to the arts, Mr. Saurabh Sanghvi, Director of Art Magnum, presented Mr. Kartikeya Sharma with a meticulously crafted stole. This stole was a product of “Inside Me,” a remarkable Delhi-based NGO dedicated to enhancing the skills of visually impaired individuals by teaching them the art of visualization and drawing.
Following the lamp-lighting ceremony, Mr. Sharma embarked on a personal journey through the exhibition, engaging with the artists and reinforcing the significance of contemporary Indian art in shaping the cultural landscape of the nation. Mr. Paramjit Singh, the Guest of Honour, also added prestige to the event with his distinguished presence.
Curated by Ms. Rakhi Sarkar, Director of the Centre of International Modern Art (CIMA), the exhibition features the exceptional works of fifteen emerging artists who have made a profound impact on the Indian art scene. These artists have redefined contemporary Indian art with their innovative and thought-provoking creations.
The Millennials: Art by Generation Next” promises to be a transformative experience for art aficionados and enthusiasts, providing a glimpse into the future of Indian creativity.
