This time, Punjabi Singer Elly Mangat is on the target of Gangster Arshdeep Dalla. Two sharpshooters associated with international terrorist and gangster Arshdeep Singh, also known as Arsh Dala, were apprehended by the Delhi Police for their involvement in a plot to assassinate singer Elly Mangat.
The police received confidential information regarding the two sharpshooters, leading to their swift arrest after a brief confrontation between law enforcement and the accused individuals.
During the encounter, the accused fired five rounds, two of which struck the bulletproof vest of a police officer. In response, the police team discharged six rounds at the suspects.
“Arshdeep tasked these two shooters with assassinating singer Elly Mangat. They attempted the assassination in Bathinda back in October 2023 but were unsuccessful as the target was not present at home,” stated Delhi Special Commissioner of Police, HGS Dhaliwal.
The captured sharpshooters have been identified as Rajpreet Singh (25), also known as Raja, residing in Gill village, Firozpur district, and Virender Singh (22), known as Vimmy, hailing from Mod Kalan village, Bathinda district.
During the confrontation, Virender Singh sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg. Both individuals received medical attention at Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital before being taken into custody.
The police recovered a .45 mm revolver with six live cartridges, a .30 mm pistol with seven live cartridges, a hand grenade, and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the suspects.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC, Explosive Substances Act, and Arms Act at the Police Station Special Cell (NDR).
Based on disclosures from the apprehended individuals, a raid was conducted in UP’s Gautam Budh Nagar district at Dairy Skaner, resulting in the arrest of another associate named Sachin Bhati, suspected of possessing a substantial cache of arms.
Rajpreet Singh is wanted in connection to the murder of Paramjeet Singh in January 2023, while Virender Singh is wanted in a criminal case involving firing in front of Prem Jewellery in Mod Mandi, Punjab.
