A civilian and an Army jawan were injured in an encounter that broke out between the militants and security forces on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir.
An encounter occurred in the Redwani area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam on Friday, officials informed.
A police spokesperson tweeted, “Encounter has started at Redwani area of #Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
Official monitoring the operation said that a joint team of army and Police launched a search operation, as the team reached the suspected area, the terrorists started firing at them which were retaliated, and an encounter started.
A senior police officer also confirmed the firing between the terrorists and a joint team of security forces.
