To rectify the laxity in the punctuality of employees in government offices, the government has now initiated strict measures. Following Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant’s surprise inspection, a team from the Administrative Reform Department (ARD) has conducted surprise inspections of various government offices in Jaipur city.
Different teams from the Administrative Reform Department conducted inspections of the Civil Lines Zone Office of the Municipal Corporation Heritage, Kavantia Hospital, RTI office located in Vidhyadhar Nagar, and offices of the Water Resources Department, among other offices, on Wednesday.
The team first reached Kavantia Hospital situated in Shastri Nagar, where almost the entire staff was found present. Satisfied, the team left from there and around 10:15 am arrived at the Civil Lines Zone of the Municipal Corporation Heritage. Here, they checked the attendance register of the employees in the Deputy Commissioner’s chamber. However, during this time, Deputy Commissioner Kartar Singh himself was not present at the scene. He is in charge of additional personnel in the Municipal Corporation Heritage.
After more than half an hour of inspection in the Municipal Corporation, around 11 am, the team reached the RTI office located in Vidhyadhar Nagar. Here, they also took feedback from some people who were in line for licenses and other work. The team members asked those getting work done through the RTI about how long they had been waiting there and what work they had come for. In this way, the team sought feedback from the public regarding the officers and employees working there.
