Music maestro AR Rahman celebrated a professional milestone on social media just days after confirming his separation from wife Saira Banu. AR Rahman revealed on X (formerly Twitter), that he had won at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for the survival drama, The Goat Life. Aadujeevitham, the survival drama, which is an adaptation of Benyamin’s 2008 novel, stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and has been nominated for two categories at HMMA.
Rahman shared a video message sending thanks, terming it as “an incredible honor” to have won the Best Score for a Foreign Language Film. “This project was a labor of love, and I share this moment with my amazing team of musicians and technicians, the director Blessy, and everybody who believed in the vision we brought to life,” Rahman said. A clip from the official Instagram page of The Goat Life showed the acceptance speech by the director Blessy and the tearful video by Rahman.
After announcing the split, Rahman and Banu released a joint statement stating: “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Thank you for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter.

The couple, married for 29 years, have daughters Raheema and Khatija and son Ameen. Despite the personal trials that came his way, Rahman’s professional victory shines, another acclaim to add on to his already illustrious career.
