The Martin Foundation, in association with the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone India, launched the APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission-2023 on Sunday from the Pattipolam village of Chengalpattu district in Tamil Nadu. Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was also present here to grace the event. Now, India has stepped towards one more milestone as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023 on Sunday was launched. Dr Anand Megalingam, Founder & CEO of Space zone India informed that the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023 is carrying a hybrid rocket and 150 PicoSAT satellites. This is the first hybrid rocket, he further stated.
An official statement said today that the Martin Foundation, in association with the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone India made this possible for launching the APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023. As per the statement, this mission has provided the opportunity to the selected students to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Through this initiative, more than 5000 students from Grades VI to XII from different parts of the country, have been enabled to design and develop 150 PICO satellites, which are to be launched through the rocket. As per the statement, this mission has also provided an opportunity for selected students to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Martin Foundation, which is a non-profit organisation in Tamil Nadu, has funded 85 per cent of this project.
The rocket launch project of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Vehicle Mission 2023 is to be launched from Pattipolam village, Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu.
