Actor Allu Arjun recently approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court to dismiss a police case against him for allegedly violating the election code in Nandyal during the 2024 elections. The case was filed by the police following directives from the Election Commission of India (ECI) after Arjun held a rally. On Friday, the HC instructed the police to take no action against him until November 6, as reported by Times Now.

Temporary Relief for Allu Arjun

In his petition, Arjun sought to have the case quashed, explaining that his visit to former MLA Silpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy before the elections was for personal reasons and unrelated to politics. His counsel, Y. Nagi Reddy, argued that Arjun’s presence in Nandyal had no political implications and that he could not be held responsible for the crowd that gathered outside Silpa’s residence. Furthermore, the counsel asserted that since Arjun is not associated with any political party, allegations of violating the model code of conduct should not apply. After hearing these arguments, the HC ordered that no further action be taken until a final judgment is given on November 6.

Arjun’s Controversial Nandyal Visit

The police had charged Arjun with violating Section 144 and Police Act 30, alleging that he visited Nandyal without permission and that the resulting crowd breached the code of conduct. His visit also stirred tensions within the family, as fans of his uncle, actor and Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, speculated that Arjun was aligning with the YSR Congress—Kalyan’s political rival. Arjun later issued a statement clarifying his neutral stance to address these speculations.

Upcoming Work in Pushpa 2

On the professional front, Arjun will soon appear in Sukumar’s *Pushpa 2: The Rule,* alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. Scheduled for release on December 5, the film is the sequel to *Pushpa: The Rise*, a 2021 blockbuster that set high expectations for the follow-up.
