Police stated that a teacher was arrested in the Gangavaram Mandal area of the Chittoor district for allegedly duping a minor female pupil into marrying her.
According to a police officer, the accused teacher Chalapathy (33) has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and he worked at a private inter-college. The accused is already married and has a daughter. He became engaged to a 17-year-old girl in class 12, stated authorities.
