The joint alliance of the Telugu Desam Party and Bhartiya Janata Party is set to form the government in Andhra Pradesh, as per early counting trends.

According to election commission of India, TDP is leading on 127 seats, while BJP is leading on 7 seats.

Meanwhile other parties like, Jansena party is now leading on 17 seats and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), is leading on 22 seats in the southern state.

Both AP’s Lok Sabha elections and Assembly polls, are witnessing a stiff fight between ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), the Congress-led INDIA coalition, and the BJP-led NDA alliance, which include Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party (JSP).

However, the exit polls had predicted the win for NDA in Andhra Pradesh Assembly Polls.

Moreover, the ruling YSRCP has contested on all 175 seats, in a bid to secure its third term in the state. While TDP is contesting on 144 assembly seats.

Previously in 2019, the YSRCP secured a sweeping victory in Andhra Pradesh, capturing 151 out of the 175 seats in the Assembly, resulting in the overthrow of TDP.

But according to exit polls, the BJP led NDA is most likely to acquire majority in the Lok Sabha polls for the third time.
